About
Welcome to Chaps Pit Beef Glen Burnie, a hidden gem located at 6714 Ritchie Hwy Suite G, Glen Burnie, MD. Nestled in a convenient strip mall, this establishment is a must-visit for lovers of hearty fare. With a reputation bolstered by rave reviews, Chaps delights its patrons with a menu that celebrates the humble yet glorious pit beef sandwich. It's a spot where meat takes center stage, and the aroma of seasoned cuts fills the air.
Among the highlights, the pit beef sandwiches shine bright. Customers rave about the generous portions, ensuring that each bite is as satisfying as the last. One enthusiastic reviewer, Hot Tub Johnny Vegas, praised their fries, remarking on the abundant serving that comes smothered in rich gravy. The fries are served hot—so hot that you’ll need to let them cool before indulging!
If you have a penchant for ribs, Chaps certainly doesn't disappoint. Jazmin Ortiz loved the flavorful ribs, thoughtfully sold by the pound, perfect for those with hearty appetites. Coupled with creamy macaroni and cheese, and classic potato salad, it covers the bases for an unforgettable side experience.
For fans of pit ham and burnt ends, you’re in for a treat. The sandwiches are generously loaded with meat, as noted by Tina M. Chaney, who appreciates the hearty servings that distance Chaps from the usual 'where's the beef' disappointments of other establishments. Even in instances of a longer wait, many believe it’s a small price to pay for such delectable food.
As you explore the menu, don’t miss out on the unique offerings like the Gus sandwich—a triumvirate of turkey, corned beef, and ham that has left a lasting impression on guests like Rob “Robthefoodguy” Barnes. With its exceptional soft roll, this sandwich has transcended mere taste; it’s a culinary experience that beckons a return visit.
Not to be overlooked, the attention to detail extends to the condiments available for your sandwich, from tangy sauces to fresh raw onions, making each meal customizable to your liking. Whether you're a local or just passing through Baltimore, Chaps Pit Beef Glen Burnie offers a flavor-packed adventure you won’t want to miss. So head over, grab a seat, and dive into the deliciousness that awaits!
“ It's in a strip mall and they do the roast beef really great and the fries you get a big bunch of fries. If you get the large fry it's only a dollar more than the regular and it's definitely worth it. And the gravy they put on there. The fries are so hot you can't even eat them. They're so hot and it's awesome ”
“ I found some great ribs here they are sold by the lb. I order the Large Macaroni and Cheese and the potato salad are my favorite. ”
“ If you like pit beef or pit ham then this is the place to go. I love the pit ham and they load the sandwich up they don't skimp on the meat. You actually get a sandwich with meat not a sandwich with bread and a few pieces of meat and you end up using the old cliche of "where's the beef". The staff are very helpful too because I always ask if they have burnt ends (which they do). They have condiments made up for you everything that you could want for your sandwich but the raw onions you need to let the server know you want those when you order. The wait is a little long but to me it's worth it some people might not think so but.... I love the food and the place ”
“ Definitely feeling both these sandwiches. Both sandwiches are packed with seasoned juicy and tender meat. First time trying the Gus and it was phenomenal. All turkey, corned beef, and ham combined to create a very delicious sandwich. And a sandwich wouldn't be a great sandwich without a great roll or bun and this bun was exceptionally soft. I will be returning. Follow other reviews @ IG: eat_n_critique ”
“ I can't believe I almost left Baltimore without trying a Pit beef sandwich. This is the only place we stopped to try the infamous Pit beef and OMG...it's heaven. They had really good mac and cheese and my favorite sandwich was the Guys triple D (yes Guy Fieri) ... ”

“ My husband and I ate here for lunch Sunday. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly and efficient. I had the 2 meat sandwich which were corned beef and pit beef. My husband had the triple D. Had fries also. The sandwiches were loaded and very tasty. Got sauces and raw onions to make them even better. Had a very satisfying meal at chaps Glen Bernie. A very good experience! ”
“ Generous portions of meat in every sandwich. The meat for the Pit Beef Sandwich was cooked exactly how I requested (medium rare) and was cut nice and thin. The Reuben was delicious also. I didn't need any extra sauces or condiments on either sandwiches. Will definitely come back next time to try the sauces and other sandwiches. ”
